Welcome!
I’m Tammi
Your go-to girl for all things travel
I travel with equal measures of planning and curiosity — drawn to the details that make a journey unforgettable. You’ll find me paging through a cozy bookstore in Porto, savoring a coffee sprinkled with chocolate in Quito, or marveling at Hong Kong from a helicopter above the clouds.
Here, I share travel tips that help you experience more and stress less — from where to rest your head in Queenstown, to how to snag the best seat on a Swiss train headed to St. Moritz, to what to wear so every vacation photo feels like a postcard. And because I rarely travel solo, you’ll also meet my husband, our college kids, my parents, and a gaggle of girl and guy friends — the crew behind my stories, critiques, and occasional mid-hike rebellions.
Real trips. Real people. Real adventures — beautifully lived.

Expert travel tips from a Midwestern girl to help you dream big and travel the world with confidence.
Behind the blog
How it all started
Some of my favorite childhood memories start in the middle of the night — piling into our family car, half-asleep, to drive three hours north to my grandparents’ quiet lakefront cottage in central Wisconsin. It wasn’t just the smell of my grandmother’s bacon sizzling in the morning or the thrill of the first cannonball into still, glassy water. It was the moments in between — late-night card games, long walks beneath a canopy of trees, ice cream runs to the local Milty Wilty — that made those trips unforgettable.
Those summer weekends taught me that travel isn’t just about where you go; it’s about what happens when you step away from the everyday. It’s a chance to reconnect with the people you love, savor small pleasures, and truly be present in the moment. That’s why I travel — and why I started sharing those moments here.
